I also understand the Manimal all too well. I can even justify Human rights being superior to animal right. If only because that's how it is nature. The lion is King of the jungle until man sets foot in that jungle. Then the lion is immediately dethroned. The shark is the top predator in the ocean until man enters the Oceans. Then man becomes the top predator. I'm against cruelty to animals and humans. I'm also against the denaturing of animals and humans. There is one part of human nature that sets us apart from the animals.
We have the ability to provide animals with rights they cannot comprehend, assert, or waive. But I can't see any means by which animals could provide for human right. Well, outside of Disney movies any way. I guess that's why God made us King and animals our subjects. We have a greater ability to care for them than they have to care for us.

I really enjoy the conversations and sharing of ideas here on DU much more than the drive by snipings.
