luxury products are available still and those who can afford the luxury can afford the tax.

those things that are essentials can be made here or the cos can be taxed for moving to cheaper labor markets as a cost of doing business... and the money can go into adult eduction and training, affordable housing and health care.

also, Americans buy a lot of crap. cheap wally world stuff wouldn't be as cheap anymore. we need to consume less crap, so this would be an incentive to think about how people spend their money.
