I well remember the rhetoric in the wake of the Oklahoma City bombing that it was "Mideasterners". In that case, they were worng to say it and ended up wrong. The main people I heard saying it would be blamed on a tea partier was Rush Limbaugh. I did not hear a single administration or Democratic politician say it could be the right wing. I am happy I did not hear that.

It would actually be more frightening if it were a "tea party protester". It would show that at least one member moved to random violence. We already know that Pakistani terrorists are willing to do this.
