You should try reading up on the newest Sino-American policy and relations.

The Obama administration has given the Chinese more then enough reasons to help keep North Korea quiet. While yes China may have a hold over us by buying up our debt, without the consumption of the West, their entire manufacturing market would fall apart. They aren't going to allow North Korea to start a war when the Chinese themselves are trying to quell poverty riots in their own country.
