I guess this half covers for his failure to do so, and half covers for his pursuit of the PNAC agenda, i.e. regional war in the Middle East, and/or Armageddon.

(ha ha -- ever notice that with Bush's base, it doesn't even matter if we prevail in the "war on terra" because they think it is biblically inevitable that the world is going to end in a great battle anyway? Anytime something bad happens in Iraq, they think its another sign jesus is about to return.
