Did John McCain put country first?
Advertisements [?]
John McCain has repeatedly maintained he always puts his country first, but his campaign tactics of smear and fear have put the lie to that claim.

McCain and his surrogates have pulled out all the stops to paint Barack Obama as a radical, a socialist, a Muslim, an unpatriotic terrorist sympathizer. Barack Obama is none of those things. He is the next president of the United States of America, and his efforts to lead our country out of the morass left behind by the administration of GW Bush will be undermined by the false impressions planted by McCain and Palin.

We need to rise above the politics of personal destruction, find the common ground we all share, and work together for a better future. This has been the central theme of Barack Obama’s campaign and will be the task of our next president and of all Americans. John McCain, by sewing the seeds of fear and distrust, has made that task more difficult.

This will be my LTTE tomorrow morning.
