This statement is not true. There are no, repeat no, comtemporary non-christian texts that mention Jesus. The earliest anyone dates anything is the letters from Paul, which most date at around 50CE. That is not comtemporary if by contemporary he means during the life of the subject. The Josephus quote in the Antiquities is at least a partial forgery (as determined by the vast majority of biblical scholars), probably written by the bishop Eusebius in the forth century. That history was writted after 70CE, so it isn't comtemporary either.

I saw The Passion a couple of days ago and found it very boring. I did think some of the cinematography was good and could have been nominated for some award. That would be it though.
