Sen. Byrd raked Rumsfeld over the coals the other day during the hearing where Sen. Kennedy asked Rummy to resign. Byrd was so scathing, fierce and angry and accused Rummy of not telling the people the truth and that Rummy owed the people an explaination instead of answering with arrogance and smirks. Everyone there looked shocked and Very uneasy. It was sooo good. But, no media coverage. Yet Durbin gets hammered because he used the comparison of gulag and concentration camps. Durbin's claim was too easy for the press and Rove to use as a weapon against the Dems. so why did they ignore all that Byrd stated such as, Rummy should answer questions from Congress respectfully as that is what the people expect of their elected leaders, to ask question, such as the questions that were not asked prior to going to war, etc. He was something else. How does our msg. get through?
