But I think the biggest mistake in understanding this prophesy is to assume first that the beast is a man
And secondly that the beast and the anti-Christ are one and the same.
It says that the beast has the number of a man, and that is something you would say only if it was not understood that it was a man.
And the anti-Christ is a man but not the beast which is described as having iron jaws with brass teeth, and brass claws that rips and tears at the earth...not a description of a man at all.
