The only way to stop them, in purely non-violent political means, is this:

Either create or split off to form a new party. This party hits hard on the issues that affect all of the poor and middle class. The party uses the excuse that the states should be the ones deciding all of the controversial issues that usually divide the public (abortion, gay rights, gun laws, etc). Highlight, in simple terms, the effects of the corporations, how they're screwing over ALL of the people, and how the republican party has used the controversial issues to persuade people onto their side in order to perform their takeover. Stress outsourcing, use their 'anti-american' talk against them if you have to.

If you're able to unite the working class, or in this case the non-elite classes, for long enough to anti-trust the corporations into submission and clear out the bureaucracy element in DC... then we can resume politics as usual.



Either way, I don't see any hope left in the current situation.
