Everything they've done has resulted in consolidating wealth and power in their, and their friends', hands. We are seeing the establishment of oligarchy.

They have forgotten that no oligarchy has ever held power so firmly that it didn't eventually end with its leaders hanging from lamp posts. If consolidated wealth is not re-distributed in a rational, legal manner to benefit the most disenfranchised, those disenfranchised will see to the re-distribution themselves.
