My local fone company has generators rigged to these whachamacallits?! Those (I guess) relay boxes you see here and there. Whatever they called. Anyways, otherwise, I'd be SOL for fone!

Oh it's amazing. I said in another post, and I will again, THOSE WINDS WERE BEYOND FREAKING on Monday morning. That crap wook me up out of a ROCK SOLID sleep, shook the house HARD! I thought certain it was a tornado. "And now place head between legs and kiss ass BUH BYE!" It HAD to be 100 mph guts, and 70-80 sustained! IMAGINE WHAT IT WAS LIKE SOUTH OF HERE?!?!? UGH! Almost EVERY plant outside is now tilted to the SOUTH cuz the winds were constant from the North, with slight variance to NE and NW.

I'm still amazed my area fared so well. I think that last year, with Francis & Jeanie, all the "weaker" trees got ripped up, and there wasn't all that much left for now!

But damn, all those pix I've seen from Lauderdale, Palm Beach, Miami, I mean, HOLY SHIT. If they ain't giving out MREs down there, SOMETHING IS GODDAMN WRONG. Oh wait, excuse me, who's are dickhead governor again?! Oh yeah, I forgot! :puke:
