I understand what the OP was trying to say. The people of NOLA were ridiculed. Terrible things were said about them in the media. Comments such as "they did not have enough sense to evacuate," and "they were waiting around for their welfare checks." The victims were being blamed for the conditions they found themselves in. In addition, the democratic mayor and governor were also blamed. Now we see the same thing happening in Florida that occurred in NOLA yet we don't see the victims, mayors or governor being treated by the media or the public as the population and government official of Louisiana were treated. I think the OP was attempting to show the contrast. I had similar thoughts. FEMA has once again not done a good job.
