8. Failure to admit this will/could cost us the election
If Bush is such an idiot, as many here believe, how is it that he has rammed through his far right wing agenda without being elected by a majority of Americans and out polls Kerry?

You can come up with a lot of excuses but the real reason is his "aw shucks m'am I can't pronounce the long words" act is just that, an act.

Did you hear him today? Talking to the Arabs? It was the most articulate he has ever been. He even answered the friggin questions, something he never does here.

Frontline last week, the one about Bush and Jesus confirmed it for me. Most of the world thought Bush 41 lost the 1992 election because he did not connect with his base, the religious conservatives. I had always thought it was because the 1992 GOP convention scared the hell out of moderates (Pat Robertson and Buchannon gave the most alarming speeches but most of it was extreme right wing crap.) Bush II got it. He figured out that you can say all the stuff but you have to talk in code. No one will fault you for extreme religiousity if you say jesus saved you from a disease: alcoholism. It is Orwellian and Bush gets it. We are puppets on his strings.
