5. It isnt the people, it is the process.
The people will come around if we do our jobs as citizens. These things take time and effort. Politics is not a spectator sport. We cant just sit back and let the system run and expect the system to work. It would be nice, it would be great if we could, and we have a problem in society because we learn growing up that our society is this magical place where everything works like a beautiful cuckoo clock. So most people dont view the system as a chaotic complicated process with great power to effect every single one of us. THe system is a product of the people and controls the people at the same time. We must effect the process, when we do the type of people who get power and the attitudes and issues of the people will both change.
