The board mailed out 17,500 absentee ballots Tuesday. That was before the:

• Ohio Secretary of State announced that presidential candidate Ralph Nader can't be included on Ohio ballots and;

• Board discovered it had mistakenly printed 3,400 ballots that switched the punch positions of Engineer Bill Brayshaw and one of the candidates for Ohio Supreme Court justice.

What happened was those 3,400 ballots in question were supposed to have Brayshaw listed at punch position 69. Instead, he was listed at position 83 where Fuerst was supposed to be listed.
