Or just shy of 30 years. I turn 31 in a few days...so I basically lived there all my life. I went to Kickapoo High, and I think there were about 5 African Americans in my class of about 400. No I was not one of the rich kids snotty kids. I was the rich snotty kids psychological punching bag.

You must have lived around Sherman street someplace. That seems to be the site Springfield has put its "ghetto."

On a note of interest, my partner used to be close friends with Springfield NAACP matriarch Carolyn Moncrief. He just loved that woman!
