18. That would be an excellent argument except for one thing
We feel sure they stole the 2000 election as well.

You have to remember Florida has a history of election irregularity. That history precedes election 2000. One can't reason his or her way through Florida election results. When Republicans in Florida use the phrase, "this is win at all costs", they mean it.

That Contest/Provision Gore used to have the vote recounted in 2000 was written by the Florida legislature just two years before election 2000. It resulted from the challenge of a mayoral election being taken to court and overturned due to fraud. There was no provision when this suit was filed for challenging an election through specified law. Thus the institution of the Contest/Protest law regarding how to challenge the results of an election.

Another interesting fact which surfaced when Greg Palast did his review, most of the overvotes not counted in election 2000 were in Republican counties. That counters the mechanics of recommended steps in "A Recount Primer" used by both Gore and Bush to step through the recount process in Florida as a guide to what steps should be taken. Why should the results eventually revealed defy logic? Thefts are not logical procedures. They are random acts executed to achieve a desired result.
