as he arrived at the judges' offices.

Kabul vigilante appeal under way

Three Americans jailed for up to 10 years for torturing Afghans
and running a private jail in Kabul have begun their appeal.

Branded by the US as a bounty hunter, Idema has said his work
was approved by Afghan and US authorities.

The Americans are serving their sentences in Kabul's Pul-e
Charkhi prison. They have a heated and carpeted cell with
satellite television.
