20. children aren't evil
I do not associate that word with children and the attitude I have seen around here, by some, about children is really disturbing to me. It was the prevaling attitude pre children's rights. Considering the Humane Society for animals was created PRE any children's rights laws, we should be alarmed when we see a transgression in this area. Just as we are seeing a regressin of attitudes about women and women's rights.

This punitive attitude is regressive. Children are either taught by their parents, ADULTS, how to behave properly or learn after they become adults. Can children be blamed or called evil if they have behavior problems? I think not. Adults are to blame. Children do not possess the critical reasoning skills that adults do and not until they are in their late teens can they engage in conventional reasoning. This is not just my oppinion, but based on the work of reputable researchers, such as Kohlberg.

I usually agree with your posts and find them to be very entertaining and enlightened, but I have to disagree with you on this one. I have a different view of children and ADULTS.
