LOL... No shit. You couldn't make this one up if you had to. This is a too strange to believe without seeing thing. I would hate to be the cop hearing from his buds on this one.

Officer involved: Man at Wal-Mart allegedly corners cop, repeatedly rams him and takes his gun before being Tasered

By Justin Hill
The Salt Lake Tribune

Pinned against the produce stands in a Salt Lake County Wal-Mart by a 73-year-old man in a wheelchair, Deputy Christopher Maez drew his handgun.

Pointing the gun at at the elderly man, Maez told him to back up or he would shoot.

Instead, John T. Snyder allegedly tried to grab the deputy's gun. Realizing the threat would not stop Snyder, Maez drew his Taser. It took several shots from the stun gun before Snyder allegedly stopped driving his motorized wheelchair into the deputy.

<snip>

Snyder stopped only after Maez shot him several times with the Taser, court records say. Snyder was charged with disarming a peace officer, a first-degree felony, assault on a peace officer, a class A misdemeanor, and interference with a peace officer making an arrest, a class B misdemeanor.

<snip>

Thank god neither party was seriously injured, but I have to wonder if Maez was maybe 80 years old?
