24. Actually, I have a question about that, maybe you can help me.
I thought that his district had been only that county until it was redistricted to include a certain suburb in Milwaukee county. If that's true, (and I haven't researched it yet but will), then the area he represents is really weird in terms of the economic background of the people he represents. The county you referred to is mostly well off (upper middle class) Republicans. The part included in the redistrict is mostly middle-middle class, ("blue collar") families--still somehow, mostly but not solidly, Republican, (if I remember correctly).

So I guess my question is, 1. Am I completely wrong, this never happened and I just have bad information and 2. If I'm not wrong, don't you find the makeup of his district kind of strange?

I mean it makes sense that the county you mentioned would go solidly for Sensenbastard, (which doesn't make it right, just predictable). But that this other section would seems like it's only thanks to GOP talking points, the lazy media, (and Fox).

I guess my point is that it isn't neccessarily fair to write his entire county off as nutjobs (although I certainly agree a HUGE portion of it is). I think Kennedy would do well to spend some time in this area of the district because I think it has more open-minded people with common sense than local stereotypes (and the GOP's insulting insistence that we're all idiots) would have us believe.

(I hope that made sense--I've been trying to wrap my head around this for a while and like I said, I could be totally wrong but I just needed to get it out there to find out. Anyway, here's to us trying :) )
