41. What can 'we' do?
Define 'we'.

I know, I know .... this sounds like another hopeless post with no answers. It is honestly not intended to be so.

What we NEED is support for fair voting (define that as you see fit) by our elected leadership. Not much has been said other than the brave work of John Conyers and company.

Where's our feckless 04 candidate? The one who rolled on election day +1.

Where's our DNC chair on this?

Where are our unelected Dem leaders? You know .... the ones who participated in the primary debates.

Where are the left leaning organizations? You know .... like moveon dot org.

Even if everyone on DU and similar communities were to get involved every day, how many are we? Couple hundred thousand very annonymous nobodies?

This needs at a **minimum** the amount of media coverage given to Mrs Sheehan, Prosecutor Fitzgerald, Scott Peterson, Paul Hackett, DSM, and The War in Iraq™ combined. Anything less and it stays like it is now ..... largly misunderstood and just another story du jour.

I see media coverage as the real key to getting this solved. Protests might help, but we need people like Boxer and Kennedy and Feingold and Clark and Kucinich and Dean and Clinton and Lautenberg and Kerry and Sharpton and Waters and Conyers and Graham and Edwards and Gore, and .... yes .... Lieberman speaking out long and loud about it.
