Charlotte or NC DU'ers..... Considering a move to your area, any advice?

Warnings to stay away? Areas to avoid while looking for a place to call home? I'm looking to transfer from the job I have now, so employment is HOPEFULLY not going to be an issue. I'm planning on taking a day or two off to go down and check things out and would like to make the most of it, so any help would be appreciated :hi:
