"The county should pay to build a road to my 4000 square foot house on half an acre where there used to be a soybean farm, and they should pay for the telephone and other utility services to be run fifteen miles outside the city limits of the nearest town, where I could have bought a 2500 square foot house for half the price of the elegant dump I paid to build from the ground up. But if those bastards raise my property taxes and sales taxes to help defray the cost of extending those services, I'll vote them out of office! How dare they raise my taxes?"
