Todd is a 46 year old gay man who's still in the closet because he doesn't want to break his mother's heart by telling her he's gay. I'm more than slightly certain that she does know but she doesn't want to upset him by letting him know. So, maybe there's a whole goofy thing going on in that strand of DNA.

Todd is overweight and suffers high blood pressure, heart problems and frequent anxiety attacks, sucks down prescription meds like they're TicTacs but then subsists entirely on a diet of beer and pizza.

He lives on a somewhat limited income from a low wage job and squanders his money on every whim that enters his noggin whilst sleeping on an old mattress that the springs are coming out of and drives a car with bad shocks and an iffy transmission.

For all that he's goofy, he's a sweet man with a wicked sense of humour.
