9. Are you talking about "Raw" by Juliano?
I have that book, it's one of the most beautiful books I've ever seen. It did get me to start eating more raw foods. I keep saying I'm gonna go totally Raw but I'm nowhere near close. I think it's a sustainable diet if you get enough B-12 if you are vegan.

Carol Alt, the former model, also has a really nice book on eating raw, and she started when she was in her late 30's so she has quite a basis for comparison whereas I think Juliano was in his late teens or early 20's when he started so he probably has less experience with processed foods, even though he is a beautiful specimen of human and a testimony for that diet. I believe he is vegetarian. Carol Alt is not and eats meat, fish, etc raw. I don't think I could do that. I also didn't really dig the idea of getting a food dehydrator and having stuff in there for hours at a time, but maybe someday. But I will say that the changes I made helped tremendously...any percentage of raw that you add to your diet and replace processed or cooked food with is gonna help alot, at least in my experience. I could tell a difference in my skin almost immediately from eating more raw stuff. I think you could go about 80% raw and still not have to pay attention to the nutrition aspect like B-12 and all that unless you are already totally vegan. I totally believe in it...as they say, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.
