so they aren't as bright. The trick to to open them up and put a sheet of aluminum foil at the top of the inside to act as a reflector; there's usually a piece of black cardboard or plastic covering the battery and electronics, which doesn't help amplify what light there is.

But hey, at four or five bucks apiece in boxes of four or more, who cares if they're not too bright. Just put more of them out! Next, we're going to outline the sidewalk that goes around the side of the house to my office door, and then a dozen or so along the top of the deck railings.

Hey, pretty soon I'll be able to read outside at night without flipping a switch!
