5. That's not as unlikely as it sounds
I know a man who was a Times Square street hustler in the 1960s and 70s. He used to pick up young, naive soldiers on their way to Vietnam, some of whom had never been away from home, all of whom were frightened, and offered them comfort by letting them tell him how terrified they really were. They shared with him secrets they'd never told anyone. He gave them comfort and understanding, and some fun and frolic if they really wanted it, too. He tells the story in a much more stirring way than I can.

I consider that a very noble ministry.
