I started looking into moving to a blue state after this election, and the housing prices are ridiculous. We'd have to go much smaller and older for the same price we paid for our house, now. We'd basically have to lower our standard of living by quite a bit if we wanted to maintain the budget we do now. It had been awhile since I'd lived up north, and I forgot how pricey it is. It's even worse than when I lived there. I don't know how anyone does it. Housing down here is vastly cheaper, and you can get more bang for your buck. That and the lack of long cold winters. It spoils you.
