10. Really cool, but I'm a little disappointed...
I had always hoped that if a Let It Be-related Beatles project were to occur that it could be a release of the often-bootlegged (I've heard, but don't actually own one) original Get Back compilation. This was the original album The Beatles planned on releasing to tie in with the Let It Be film but it got scrapped, I think because they thought it was too sloppy. However, I've always wanted to hear it....

This compilation does sound quite similar, but it omits "Dig It"- which I think the original Get Back album contained a five or six minute version of, and I think the original also may have included stuff like the Beatles' original versions of Paul's "Junk" and "Teddy Boy", a cover of "Save the Last Dance for Me" and some other stuff. To me, it just would have made more sense to release this original compilation if they are going to release a stripped-down version of Let It Be. Although I know I'm among a minority on this one, Let It Be is one of my favorite Beatles albums, Spector-ized or not. I'm really glad to see this "naked" version being released, just not sure why they're not digging a little deeper and releasing a version with that original track lineup.
