47. Had my aortic valve replaced
at age 51 in Oct. of 2001. Mine is a bovine valve and the doc said it would probably last me my lifetime. After surgery I started on blood pressure meds and aspirin. Now my BP is cool and I take no meds whatsoever. What a strange trip it was coming out of anesthesia though. They had me on my feet abd moving around the next day and I was released after 3 days.
My best to your mom! Nuthin' to worry about!
