The people that call themselves Rep. today have very little in common with those of twenty years ago. My dad used to be one because he was a fiscal conservative, but now he thinks they have all gone batshit insane and are ruining this country.
I remember when Planned Parenthood had quite a following in the Rep. party, although not for the reasons that you might think.
Your bosses' religious views probably have more to do with his political affiliation than true politics. Just a guess.
