15. I never had novacaine until recently
My Dad didn't believe in it. I've since had fillings with novacaine and without. I think using novacaine for most fillings hurts more. The Dentists are more careful without it so you have less pain afterwards. For procedures like root canals and extractions, I use novacaine.
