the only team from last year in the playoffs again this year. To me, that's indicative that they use their financial leverage to get what they want.

Besides, any true baseball fan knows anything can happen in these short series (exhibit A, the Cardinals last year).

It's the fact that they're there year in and year out that makes the rest of us sick of them and their money bags owner!

Years ago a freind of mine told me, "Rooting for the Yankees is like rooting for U.S. Steel". Never a truer statement spoken!

I don't like them, their owner or their corporate baseball culture. Take one look at Johnny Damon, all cleaned up and shaven. In Boston he was a cult hero, in New York he's just another corporate Steinbrenner lackey!
