29. Ever heard of 2033?
He died at age 33. Two thousand years have not passed since then.

See, first we had to get past 2000. Immediately coming up is 2012. After we get past 2012 the doom sayers will spring 2033 on us. Then there will be some issue with the Gregorian calendar where we got off by a few years during the dark ages. True believers will come up with an answer no matter what date is on the calendar.
