8. I always root for Tiger, but this makes me sad because Rocco's so awesome.
The guy's 45 and never won a major. He had to beat out a bunch of qualifiers just to make it to the tournament. He will pass this way but once, I think. Seems like an awesome friendly, funny guy and a damn good golfer. I liked how he played his shots so fast and didn't give himself a chance to second guess things or think too hard on any shot, seemed like a guy who really knows himself and that was the best way to get good results, a lot different from Tiger's deliberate, contemplative style.

Rocco did just about every damned thing he had to to win that tournament. It just wasn't quite enough.

Tiger was all over the place all weekend, but when he needed to, he played great on critical holes just to stay in. The guy is like the definition of clutch.

But Tiger earned it too. It's really sad that someone had to lose that one.

I liked their embrace at the end. It must have felt like several lifetimes of golf this weekend.
