been freelancing for years), this particular downturn has been horrible for EVERYONE. One friend, a very talented designer, has been freelancing for 10 years, and as long as I've known her she's always been super busy whenever I talk to her. In fact, most of the time she's looking for people to help her out with overflow work. Well, this year she's been freaked out at the lack of work for the first time in her career. She lost 3 clients in a matter of weeks due to the recession. She's starting to get a little more work now but she's still scrambling.
