The MSNBC website is reporting that a 19 year old Georgetown student has put in an ad for a personal assistant. For me it is stupid that a college student wants a personal assistant. However it gets worse when the details of what he wants his personal assistant to do is revealed. The student identified as Charley Cooper wants a personal assistant to do such tasks as "organizing his closet, dropping him off and picking him up from work, scheduling haircuts, putting gas in the car and taking it in for service, managing his electronic accounts and doing laundry". In addition, he plans to email his worker by 9:00 am to give the worker a detailed list of tasks to be completed preferrable by the end of the day, with certain tasks bolded in order to show they must be completed by the end of the day.

If one were not able to tell that Cooper was a spoiled rich kid by looking at the ad, his Facebook picture should most likely prove that fact. According to the MSNBC website Cooper has a Facebook account in which his picture shows him holding a champagne flute.

I understand some people may say this kid is just smart and has found a new way to free up his time. I do not see it that way. There is no need for this kid to have a personal assistant in college. I get that the kid has a part-time job and classes, but I still do not believe he needs a personal assistant. Most of these things are things that he can do on his own, many college students do it every year.
