Most people are unaware that you can get independent films shown on their local community or public access channel. While each community/public access station has its own rules and regulations for broadcasting material, most stations run their material on a first-come, first-served basis. If you provide your station with a copy of the video, the station will typically air the film during the earliest available time slot. In some instances, the station may require that you or someone else in your community “sponsor” the video to ensure that the content does not represent the views and politics of those running the community/public access station.
