6. People all over the world are watching and speaking out on the Uighur situation
Edited on Thu Jul-09-09 09:05 AM by Ken Burch
It's truly disgusting that you'd take the suffering of the Uighurs as nothing but a pretext to start yet ANOTHER "Israel is only criticized because it's 'Jewish'" thread. You know the Israeli government is NOT criticized because its critics "hate Jews". Many of its critics ARE Jews.
Please stop this. You demean yourself and harm the Israeli every time you spread this canard.

The Israeli government's treatment of Palestinians is criticized because it is wrong, because it harms innocent Palestinians, and because it endangers innocent Israeli civilians by perpetrating a war that could easily be ended if the Israeli government would just stop doing everything in its power to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state. Not because of antisemitism. Antisemitism is real, and it's ugly(and all other forms of prejudice are equally ugly and have equal blood on their hands), but it has never been what drove the Palestinian resistance. Not wanting to be dispossessed is what drives that resistance.

Give this a rest. For the love of G-d, give this a rest.
