How about Marc and Chelsea just plain being in love, rather than Marc wanting to deny his ancestry or 'please the ultimate WASP' or whatever?

I would expect some WASP bigots to be against Chelsea marrying a Jewish man (especially those who will find any excuse to attack a Clinton). This is just the same on the Jewish side.

I can see reasons why many Jews who identify strongly with Jewish culture would not want to marry someone outside the culture. Fine. Don't. I can even understand their being sad if a family member did so. But don't attack other people's rights to intermarriage.

Sorry to get so het up, but he's basically insulting quite a few members of my family.
