I've been finding that the headlines are worse than the articles they represent. Richardson doesn't want people to think the party has a single voice, especially when it says something with which voters might disagree. Big deal. This is a strategy that's partly political because it makes Richardson's message an alternative to someone else's, and it's partly practical because it shows us as a "big tent" party.

I mean really. Who the fuck would say that Mehlman is "the spokesman" for the republicons? I doubt very many.
