10. actually the murder rate in DC is lower than it was in the 90s
The murder rate dropped significantly while Clinton was president, but it also continued to drop after he left office. I don't think who is President has a thing to do with it.

2000: 242

2001: 234

2004: 198
2005: 195
2006: ..to date, number of homicides is almost identical to same date 2005.
