I've read an awful lot on Warner and people still seem pretty sold on him. The party's practically begging him to run for the Senate in '08 (which would of course preclude him from running for VP) and he seems interested in another run. Most accounts had that he genuinely wanted to spend more time with his family right now then spend 2 years running for president.
The one I've heard "skirt" issues about was Richardson, but even those rumors seem pretty unsubstantiated; what people can piece together is that he's very flirty with women but there's no evidence of any affairs.
I agree that Richardson and Clark would be strong possibilities for Obama. I've promoted an Obama/Richardson ticket before and been enthusiastic at times, but I wonder how risky it would be to put two racial minorities on the Dem ticket?
I don't really see Bill Cohen on the ticket. But I do see several other possibilities. Former UN ambassador Richard Holbrooke's a possibility, though. Tom Vilsack, Evan Bayh (although probably not with Obama - Obama himself is Midwestern enough and Bayh, though popular, wouldn't carry Indiana), Kathleen Sebelius (KS governor), Dick Durbin (if the nominee ISN'T Obama), Chris Dodd (could be a good backup for Edwards), even Tom Daschle for Obama (not incredibly likely but not impossible; Daschle has endorsed Obama and much of his staff works for Obama; if the stench of "loser" isn't too much, Obama could view him as a good elder-statesman figure to reassure voters anxious about his inexperience). And some dark-horses, like Sen. Jeff Bingaman of New Mexico and Sen. Kent Conrad of North Dakota (though we'd lose that ND senate seat to a Republican appointee).
