Religion/Abortion...My Decision [View All]

With all of the important issues facing our nation in this day and age I have come to the conclusion that way too much time is being spent on the subjects of religion and abortion. Religion, as I perceive it, is a private matter. I'm Catholic, it works for me, so end of discussion as far as I'm concerned. Abortion, not a nice subject but sometimes necessary for both medical and in the event of criminality i.e. rape, for me, end of discussion.

Why then is so much time being spent on the candidates and their views on these matters. The subject of abortion especially, requiring an opinion from men no less, is absurd. I don't care what the candidates religion, ethnicity, or opinions on abortion are. What I do care about are their stands on the economy, education, health care, and most of all the WOT. I want to know the answers to these questions. I am sick of the inordinate amount of time being wasted on questions that are decided individually anyway. Roe vs. Wade still??? Thought that had already been decided. Okay, take away that decision, abortions will still continue albeit in horrible manner.

Let's insist the media grow up, make the pundits/journalists ask the hard questions. I already know personally about religion and abortion and I don't care a whit what the candidates think about either of them.
