"Typical liberal is way off base" [View All]

From a letter to my newspaper. I'm always trying to figure out where they're coming from. What madness:

"We haven't had another attack on this country because those who would attack us are busy dying in Iraq and Afghanistan, because our military is fighting for us. How many billions it's taking is irrelevant. You can't put a price on freedom. The National Guard has been used in the past and will be used again, and there will be no draft as long as President Bush is in office. I'm sick of the tired, whining liberal line about being isolated from our traditional allies. Who do they want? The oil-for-food-bribed French, or the Germans we fought two world wars against? Our deficits are at record levels because of the war on terrorism and the need to jump-start a recession-stricken economy. Unemployment is dropping, and the liberal's scare card, 'outsourcing,' has been blown far out of proportion to any damage it has done. Social Security needs fixing, and privatization is a good beginning, but liberals don't like it because it gives people more control over their lives. No one in this country is denied health care regardless of the status of their health insurance. Finally, the one candidate who lied in the presidential election is the one who lost."
