He had a five minute window in which some people loved the arrogance and bravado and fake cowboy crap...immediately following 9/11. People were frightened, people had no idea what had just happened or why.

If George Bush thinks that in any time in his career he had "political capital," HE DID...immediately following 9/11. But he didn't spend it. He squandered it, and made the U.S. hated throughout the world.

And yes, before someone points this out, there have ALWAYS been those in the world who hated the U.S...George Bush didn't "create" that situation, but he certainly didn't make it better.
