There has been plenty of room in boats, choppers, etc.... the authorities just don't give a damn. However, I know at least one Coast Guard rescuer not only allowed, but took it upon himself to make sure pets were rescued, too. Pets are family members. To some of us, they are our kids. Sorry you can't find it within yourself to be humane and understand this.
