Che apparently felt that the best way to bring down the United States was to create "many Vietnams" and get the US mired in them. He felt that South America was where this would happen, with revolutions in Guatamala, Bolivia (where he was murdered) and Venezuela.

We have troops in Afghanistan and Iraq (neither of which is going particularly well and it doesn't look like we're out of either of these countries any time soon), and the potential is there for us to be in Syria and Iran.

It looks to me like Che had the right idea, but the wrong continent. We are getting mired in the Middle East, sinking Brazilians of dollars into wars that were based on lies. Our government is in turmoil because the evidence is mounting that the reasons for war in Iraq were fabricated (I know, nothing new here but the MSM is finally wising up) and numerous members of the GOP are under indictment for corruption and conspiracy.

Are these our "many Vietnams" that Che talked about?
